Giving Your Best.

Ps. Jose Carol shared a very powerful and mind-changing message yesterday.

He preached about being excellence.

So often, we think excellence is about being the best, being spectacular, but it is not.

"Excellence in God's sight is not being the best, but being your best."

So the question is, have you done your best?
Have you given your all?

Excellence is more of a mind-set, an attitude.
And it is a process, a journey, not a destination.

So often, we think excellence is a destination.
Once we get there, we stop.

It is not, it's a JOURNEY.
A never ending journey, until our dying day.
It takes our effort and will to put it in our mind that we have to do our best everyday.

"Whatever you do, do well. For when you go to the grave, there will be no work or planning or knowledge or wisdom." Ecclesiastes 9:10 (NLT)

So whatever it is that you're working right now, work on it diligently, faithfully.
Grab every chance, every opportunity.
Because one day, you're going to miss all of the works.

"I have observed something else under the sun. The fastest runner doesn’t always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn’t always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don’t always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time." Ecclesiastes 9:11 (NLT)

Sometimes, we think we are not being excellent when we look at other people's life.
But that's not how it works.
If we are comparing ourselves with other people, we just merely wanna be the best.
But have we really done our best??

In a meantime, to be excellent is to compare ourselves with our very own self!
Because the biggest enemy, that we have to conquer in our daily life is our own self.
Because who we are is determined by the decision that we made in the past.
So stop blaming others for whatever it is that you are facing right now.

Don't be a complainer.
We are so easy to complain.
We look at other people's achievements, then we say, "I want that! I want to be the best like him! I want to have the best like him!"

Hey, beforehand, ask this to yourself,
"Have I done my best? Have I given my all?"

If not, don't complain.
If yes, keep on doing it! Remember, do it diligently, because excellence is a process, a journey.

So, have you done your best?
