As you know, I planned to wear skinny tie wif vest, sneakers, tailor-made pants and white t-shirt.
While Elbert planned to go wif his conservative style, t-shirt, tie and suit.
But in the last minute, i dunno wud happened.
When we actually met at Mulia Hotel, we laughed.
I'm the one who wore suit, and he is the one who wore vest.
I'm like, wow you're cool.

Grateful for em...
Hmm.. i dunno why,
but I think I just need to write this down.
I feel really blessed having this circle of friends.
They are all unique.
Spend a good time yesterday chatting wif them, via MSN, via BlackBerry Messenger, via Twitter.
There is this pink-freak girl who can't even shut her mouth off, I am grateful having her in my life.
There is this passionate broadcaster who cares a lot about dogs. Hahaha.
There is this excellent writer. She successfully wowed me with her writings.
My man of integrity, who makes a good confession to me yesterday.
My stubborn man who sometimes makes me cranky but always manage to make me laugh again only in a split of second.
The high-dedicated lecturer.
The girl who's lately appear online wif busy or away status.. hahaha *bitterness*.
Not to forget, a bunch of crazy passionate and creative young people, i call em the Blenders.
Had a great talk and laugh wif some of em yesterday.
Really really really love my friends.
Just wanna make the best out of every friendship relationship that I'm having right now.

Wolverine vs Sabretooth
I finally watched X-Men Origins: Wolverine, last night.
Cool movie.
I have been a fan of X-Men since I was still in my 4th grade.
I have been a fan of X-Men since I was still in my 4th grade.
The movie tells us about Wolverine's history.
When Jimmy Logan and Victor Creed are still protecting each other just like what every siblings do.
But along the way, they grow up separately.
They are walking two different paths.
There is this scene where Wolverine tries to prevent Sabretooth from killing innocent people in a village.
Wolverine reminds his brother that they are not supposed to do that.
That it is wrong.
What do I learn from this scene?
I learn that every man could have their own power.
Their freedom to choose over something, to decide something.
We all have that in common.
But what makes us different from others is our heart.
Unlike Sabretooth, Wolverine has a heart, a gentle heart to care for other people.
And that is what makes Wolverine a different superhero.
Even though they are brothers, they are having the same superpower, but in the end what matters the most is their heart.
Check your heart right now.
Are you guarding it carefully?
Have you been letting your bitter heart controls you and leads you to a wrong path.
Or, have you been nourishing your heart diligently, so that you are the one in control which enables you to choose your own path.
A better path.
The right path.
Remember, we all are the same.
We are merely human, we have our own power to decide, what is good for us and what is not.
But what makes us different from one another?
It is our heart.

(not so) New Commitment
Chill!!
No, I'm not getting married.
Not in anytime soon.
At least not until .. umm.. oh only God knows until when, lols.
I have made some new commitment.
Maybe not new.
I have been doing these back then. But I stopped.
I started to do it again. Then I stopped.
Started it all over again. Then I stopped.
I can see you smiling.
I'm sure each one of us has our own struggle.
Struggle on being committed upon something.
For me there are some core mistakes of my inability to hundredpercently committed toward something.
1. "Spoiled-Prince" or "Pampered-Princess" Mentality.
This is dangerous.
We tend to give up easily, when we meet uncomfortable situation.
When we are faced with obstacles.
Hey, being committed takes a process, and a process is not always easy!
Strip off your comfort zone, step out of it!
2. SLOTH.
Come on.
Raise your hands up, if you never, for once, skip your routine activity just because out of sudden you feel lazy.
We have to be a diligent person!
3. Mood Swings.
Maybe this is not a problem for everyone.
But for me, this is quite a problem.
I'm a very moody person, an artsy guy.
When I like something, I easily get attached to it.
But when I (out of a sudden) dislike it, I will throw it away.
I am fighting on this one!
It is always a battle for me, everytime the bad mood strikes, i have to see it as an opportunity to overcome it, and not letting it rule over me.
I am a FREE person, why should I be controlled by something?
4. Single-Fighter.
One of the worst enemy of being committed, for me, is having the "I am doing this alone" thought.
Sometimes I fall, because I think, "I am alone", or "Oh no one knows".
But hey, I want to let you know, that there is no such thing as "single-fighter".
We are all a fighter.
Tell your stories or your struggle to others, trust me, you will hear the most comforting sentence from people's mouth: "Me too... Hey you're not alone".
But of course, be smart, don't just pick people randomly and tell them your story.
Pick wisely.
And the plus point of doing this is that you could also possibly grab the opportunity to bless others.
It works both way when you share your struggle to others.
You are empowered, at the same time, you are empowering them.
-----------------------
Anyway, back to my (not so) new commitments.
Recently I decided to recommit on three areas of my life, spiritual, physical, financial.
I wanna be healthy spiritually, physically and financially.
Spiritually:
Reading the Bible everyday, and having a healthy prayer life.
Enriching myself with Godly and wise words.
Please do meet my new friends, New Living Translation and Message Bible, yes I am re-reading both versions.
Physically:
Doing exercise three times a week.
Control my sleep time.
Pick my food wisely.
Please do meet my new friends, Oatmeal, Eggs, High-Protein Milk and Dumbbell.
Financially:
Healthy tithing life.
Opening a new bank account and start saving soon!
Doing monthly budgeting every month.
Spend wisely, by priority list, only spend for what I need and not what I merely want.
Only take a cab if I have to go somewhere after 9pm (this one is like pretty hard!!)
This one is different, please do meet my new enemies, Blue Bird, X(SML), Starbucks, Zara, Pull & Bear, Nanonine!
---------------
I'm writing all of these not to brag.
But to whip myself.
So everytime I forget, and tempted not to give my commitment wholeheartedly, I can read this post again.
And please, for those of you who read this, do slap me if you guys see me breaking any of the three commitments.

Passionate
Do you see what I see?
Do you think this is insane?
This is not.
This is passion.
Passion is important.
It motivates you.
Brings you to the highest level of your insanity.
But hey, no matter how insane it might looks, it is your passion.
Never let it go.
So, what is your Passion?
Do you think this is insane?
This is not.
This is passion.
Passion is important.
It motivates you.
Brings you to the highest level of your insanity.
But hey, no matter how insane it might looks, it is your passion.
Never let it go.
So, what is your Passion?

I Heart My Friends
As I have mentioned earlier in my previous post,
I was having such a very bad mood today.
I was a little bit cranky, ok not a lil bit, but totally cranky.
I dunno why.
Maybe because of the super heat that Jakarta had today.
Or maybe because all the deadlines and the hectic moments I have to deal with.
Or maybe because of this, because of that.
I dunno.
Something has triggered the cranky me to burst out.
But, my bad mood, my being cranky didn't last very long.
Thank God, for all the good friends he sent to me.
Like Elbert, who was successfully making me laugh with his witty jokes.
Like Hera, who was asking me "How's the mood thing going?" then cheering me up, saying "Semangat ya, my dear Manado friend!"
Like Debora, who was so a little bit insensitive, she asked me to help her out, then after that, she asked, "I forgot, you are in a bad mood, right?"
And I was like, "YEAH!" Haha.
But that's ok, even in my bad mood condition, I had to help out a friend.
Nothing beats that kind of feeling.
Or like Irene, who later on buzzed me, told me that she herself just had a very cranky day.
Then we talked, then she laughed and thanked me for giving my time.
Again nothing beats this kind of feeling.
The feeling that you know you can give something to your friends and at the same time you can also receive something from your friends.
Healthy relationship for me is the one who knows when to take and give.
My point is this, maintain those relationship you are having right know.
Especially friendship relationship.
You need people that you can rely on (but don't be the kind of clingy friend, that's annoying).
It's all about balance, know how to give, know how to ask for a help.
Maintain it, because when you grow old, they will be the only ones who are really there.
And you will be grateful for having them in your life.
One of my beloved life and spiritual mentor, Sidney Mohede, once said, "Love people and not things. Because it is not what you have in life, but whom you have in your life that matters."
For example, it's useless if you are having a high-tech gadget like the newest BlackBerry, but you don't have any friends to chat with. What's the point of having it?
A friend in need is a friend indeed.

The School of Life
Ps. Sidney Mohede shared a good message about things that we can learn from The School of Life.
We all know that there are some precious lessons that we never get from school. We learn about it by living it. We live, we make mistakes, we learn, then we are a better person.
Here are some points that I got from the Ps. Sidney's sharing.
1. I have to learn that if I want to cheer myself up, I should try to cheer someone else first.
2. I have to learn to take care of myself, to speak excellently, to act excellently, to have the excellent attitude. There must some people who has given me a hard times, and there must be some people who will give me a hard time. They might speak something bad or untrue about me, they might deliver a wrong gossip about me. But hey, I just have to learn not to care about what they say. I just gotta do what I gotta do, doing it best. So that people can see, that I am not like what people say about me.
3. I have to learn to control my attitude, because if I cannot control my attitude, my attitude will control me.
4. I have to learn that life goes on and that tomorrow, there is always a chance, that everything will always be better.
5. I have to learn not to catch something using both of my hands. I have to exercise one of my friend, to throw back something that I have received to others. We have to learn not only to accept, not only to take, not only to receive. We have also got to learn how to GIVE.
6. I have to learn that I cannot please everyone, I cannot make everyone to love me. But, I can learn to be the most lovable person.
7. It takes years to build trust, but it only takes a split of second to destroy it. Be careful in what we do! Control what we say, we do, how we act towards our beloved friends.
8. It's not what you have in your life, but whom you have in your life that counts. Make sure that you surround yourselves with the right people.
9. I have to learn that my background may have influenced me. But I am responsible in who I am to become. My choice today will shape my tomorrow. Who you are right now is determined by your past decisions. If you have made some wrong decisions, that's ok, but learn from it! Next time, think wiser before you make a decision.
10. I have to learn not to GIVE UP!
11. I have to learn that I can always learn something new everyday. Have the attitude and willingness of upgrading yourself continually.
So, what do you learn from the school of life?

So, what do you learn from the school of life?
National Education Day (Hardiknas) @ Oxygen!
Had a lot of fun @ Oxygen's Nerd Day.
To celebrate the national education day, we set a dresscode, which is "Nerd Outfit", and we arrange the service room into a class room, with all the properties.
And Ps Sidney Mohede as our teacher for that day, taught us the most precious lesson about what he has learned from the school of life.
Me The Geek!
Wif my partner in crime Yola as the bad smoking girl! LOL.
This is what the class looked like before we start the learning session
Our beloved teacher Ps. Sidney Mohede!
Wif another partner in crime, Kinsky
These are some fellas from the Oxygen Movement team, really feel honored working with these great and creative people!
And hey, I am the Best Student of the month at school! LOL.
