Letting Go = Going Up

I watched "UP" today with friends.
And here is what I learned from that movie.

Remember the scene where Carl and Russell fight the thunder storm to protect the flying house?
Ok for those of you who haven't watch this move, just skip this question already.
When the house got sucked into the thunder storm, Carl who was trying so hard to "drive" the house out of it, got distracted by running here and there, only to protect all his wife's memorabilia.

He's busy saving those furnitures.

I remember saying this, "Oh man, forget about those furnitures, they are nothing compared to your own safety, your wife is dead already, just let it go."

And remember the scene where Carl wants to go and safe Russell, but he couldn't, because he lost some of the balloons, which puts more weight back to the house. It won't fly. It won't go up.

Then, Carl throws away a chair. Then he smiles. It's like he's finally getting the solution of his problem. And yes, the solution is to throw out as many furnitures as possible.

Then it works! The house is flying back up to the sky.

---------------------------

As humans, sometimes we got stuck with our past.
We hold onto it very tight while we know, it's actually the time for us to let it go.
It becomes a burden.
It becomes a problem.
It even brings danger to our life.
Just like Carl, he's busy protecting all the memories that he's got left from his wife, and put his own life, and others (Russell), in danger.

Remember, we could also bring harms to other people, if we are not letting it go.

And just like Carl,
The solution is to throw out all the unnecessary things out from our mind, our heart, our life.
When we "clean it up", our "house" is working back properly.
It flies.
It goes up.

So whatever it is that you are holding on right now, while you know you are supposed to throw it out since centuries ago, just let it go now.

Your life will go up.
